C'est un rendez-vous que vous connaissez bien maintenant. Les Portes Ouvertes de L'Atelier du mois de décembre sont un bon moyen de faire de jolis cadeaux de Noel.  Le Centre d'Activité de Jour de l'Arche à Paris vous propose à la vente des mosaïques, peintures, calendriers et des petits objets fabriqués dans ses différents ateliers. Les Portes Ouvertes, c'est aussi l'opportunité de rencontrer les membres de L'Arche à Paris. Un espace convivial sera aménagé où seront proposés café, chocolat, crêpes et gâteaux. Des chants de Noël et des concerts de percussions ponctueront la journée. On vous attend nombreux.

Volunteers in L'Arche share their home, their daily life with people with learning disabilities. They commit to a social humanitarian project whilst benefiting from being a volunteer with legally recognized status in France. This experience offers personal development, training, and lifelong learning. Former volunteers can testify to it.

L'Arche provides in its structures homes and activities in the 15th district of Paris. l'Arche in Paris is a community projectin which a great diversity of people choose to take part in the way most appropriate to their needs and abilities.


L'Arche in Paris runs three residential homes and a home for elderly members (Moriya, le Gue, Namaste, Viim), a centre for day time activities (the Workshop), a social support service (the outreach team), a day time service (Les Beaux Sieurs) and offices.

The history of l'Arche began in a little house in a french village in 1964. Jean Vanier, mentored by Father Thomas Philippe, set up a home with Raphael Simi and Philippe Seux. Forty years later L'Arche is an international organisation, active now in five continents. L'Arche is integrated into vastly differing cultures whilst retaining its own very particular one, identity and values.. L'Arche in Pariswas founded in 1973.

In 1973 four students mentored by Jean Vanier decided to start up a home in Paris with three people with learning disabilities. In a flat in Paris' 15th District, they led a slightly bohemian, lively and very intense existence.
