Finances

Who finances us?
The current running of the establishments of l'Arche in Paris is covered by a daily rate of expenses agreed by the Administrative Committee. Donations also finance l'Arche giving l'Arche a particular charitable status.

How is public money used ?
L'Arche in Paris runs four different sections supported by the Parisian town council and the French equivalent of the Department of Social Security. These four sections are the: four residential homes, the day centres, the social support service and the home for ageing community members.

How are private donations used ?
The Trustees of l'Arche in Paris (ASAP) receive private donations and use them for those activities not covered by the finances organized by the Administrative Committee: these include trips to maintain contact with former assistants, festivities (room hire and food), gatherings with other communities of l'Arche, retreats and reflective weekends for assistants, website creation and other such activities.

Many other benefactors help in money or in time to maintain l'Arche's activities.
